Community Care Program
The Senior Services Plus, Inc, Community Care Program provides assistance with daily household chores to qualifying seniors so that they can continue to live independently in their own homes. We are providers for the Southwestern Illinois Visiting Nurses Association (VNA), Services for seniors, providing in-home care throughout Madison and St. Claire Counties.
Our Homemakers can provide assistance with:
- Laundry
- Meal Preparation
- Transportation
- Medication Reminders
- Shopping and Errands
- Cleaning
- Other day-today-household chores
From the very start and throughout their employment, Senior Services Plus, Inc, Homemakers are held to high standards that include:
- State and local police background checks.
- Communications with previous employers.
- A minimum of 25 hours of training for those Homemakers who are not currently Certified Nursing Assistants.
- Mandatory quarterly in-service meetings.
- Home visits by Community Care Program supervisors.
- Annual Evaluations.
To begin receiving assistance through our Community Care Program, the VNA must perform and in-home assessment. Participants must meet the following criteria in order to qualify:
- 60 years or older.
- U.S. Citizen or legal alien.
- Resident of Madison and St. Claire Counties.
- Annual, non-exempt assets of $17,500 or less.
