Transportation Department

Providing seniors with the independence to accomplish their day-to-day activities is the goal of the Senior Services Plus, Inc. Transportation Department. Our Transportation Services help connect seniors to community resources- which helps eliminate feelings of isolation and loneliness, and helps provide the confidence necessary to live and thrive.

Our Transportation Service staff is highly trained, meeting all of the Illinois Department on Aging’s requirements. All staff members are evaluated annually to ensure that seniors are receiving the competent, compassionate and ethical care you expect from Senior Services Plus, Inc.

The Senior Services Plus, Inc. Transportation fleet currently boasts 13 vehicles including:

• Four American’s with Disabilities Act (ADA) passenger vans equipped with wheelchair lifts.
• Three standard passenger vans
• Four Cargo Vans
• Two minivans

To help us pay for fuel and maintenance costs, we request a donation of $2.50 each way when you use our transportation service.

Senior Services Plus, Inc. Transportation Service is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Due to our Meals-On-Wheels deliveries, we regret that we cannot offer Transportation Services between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Reservations are required and should be made 24 hours in advance.
