Home Care Aides

Location: Madison and St. Clair Counties

Hours: Part-time and Full-time available

Rate: $18 per hour

Benefits: PTO


Responsibilities:

  • SSP services clients in Madison and St. Clair counties in IL
  • Assists older adults in household management and personal care including the following:
    • Follow the client's written plan of care
    • Light housekeeping to include dusting, mopping, vacuuming, washing dishes, keeping the bathroom clean, helping clients clear clutter that may have accumulated, changing bed linens, laundry
    • Monitor the client's health and environmental changes, and report to the CCP Supervisor as required
    • Plan and prepare nutritious meals including special diets
    • Client transportation and escort so our clients may take care of their shopping or run any necessary errands. For clients unable to get out on their own, we also provide shopping/errands for them.
    • Provide necessary receipts and documentation for shopping transactions
    • Personal care, bathing, shampooing, skincare, nail care, etc.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED, CNA preferred
  • Basic knowledge of home management skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Highly motivated, honest, reliable, compassionate, responsible, cheerful, and patient
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, sit, and walk for periods of time
  • Daily access to a vehicle, valid driver's license, and proof of insurance
  • Travel from client home to client home
  • Ability to successfully complete quarterly in-services
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs

Personal Trainer

Location: Alton, IL

Job Type: Flexible Schedule

Pay: $17-$22 per hour

Benefits: PTO


Primary Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Wellness Coordinator/Personal Training Supervisor the Personal Training Staff are responsible for assisting in the following:

  • Plan, lead and teach group fitness classes in accordance with the wellness center's guidelines.
  • Develop customized workout plans based on clients' fitness levels, goals, and special considerations (e.g., injuries, medical conditions).
  • Track client progress, providing regular feedback and program adjustments as needed.
  • Assist in designing and implementing fitness programs to grow wellness membership and personal training services
  • Maintain certification while employed and stay current on industry trends and best practices in fitness and wellness.



Job Requirements:

  • Personal training certification
  • Associates degree in related field preferred
  • Ability to demonstrate exercises for extended periods of time
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • If a certification is not already held and is acquired within the first 90 days of employment, SSP will reimburse half of the certification fee.


 



Regional Manager

Location: Swansea, IL

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $40,000-$45,000 annually

Primary Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Regional Manager will work and maintain all the authorizations for client services for their designated office. Work and audit all exceptions from HCA clocks, monitor the scheduling team, end-of-year documentation, and annual documentation for HCA’s, greet clients, field staff, and the public in a professional and friendly manner, monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness, create payroll, process time off request, become familiar with HHA Exchange, ADP and TTP, Hiring of all HCA’s interview and onboarding.


Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • At least 2 years of experience in a structured senior activity program
  • Proficiency in related computer software, Microsoft Word
  • Ability to maintain regular punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and handle multiple tasks

 



Assistant Cook

Location: Alton, IL

Job Type: Part Time - 35 Hours

Pay: $15-$18 per hour

Benefits: PTO, 403b with matching

Primary Responsibilities:

The Assistant Cook supports the Lead Cook and kitchen team in preparing, cooking, and serving meals. This role ensures that food is prepared safely and efficiently while maintaining high quality and cleanliness standards. The Assistant Cook is also trained to fill in for the Lead Cook when needed.


Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Food Protection Manager's Certificate preferred

 



Dining Services Assistant

Location: Alton, IL

Job Type: Part Time - 20 hours

Pay: $15-$18 per hour

Benefits: PTO, 403b with matching


Primary Responsibilities:

The Dining Services Assistant supports kitchen and café operations by delivering meals, assisting with cashier duties, and ensuring cleanliness in the dining areas. This role bridges the kitchen and front-of-house team to provide excellent customer service, smooth communication, and excellent dining experiences. The Dining Services Assistant is also cross-trained to support events, catering, and cashier responsibilities.


Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service, cashier or hospitality setting
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

 



Data Entry/Office Support

Location: Alton, IL or Swansea, IL

Job Type: Full-Time - 40 Hours

Pay: $15.50-$17.00 per hour

Benefits: PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision, Holidays, 403b with matching


Primary Responsibilities:

The Data Entry Office Assistant is responsible for accurately entering and updating information into computer systems and databases, while also performing general administrative tasks like organizing files, answering phones, and handling mail.


Job Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Experience in a customer service like setting
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Attention to detail
  • Great communication and telephone skills

 



Foster Grandparent Coordinator

Location: Alton, IL

Job Type: Part Time - 30 hours

Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

Benefits: PTO, 403b with matching


Primary Responsibilities:

Coordinating AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers' assignments including assisting volunteer station staff to develop volunteer assignment plans and volunteer activities and monitoring progress toward achieving the expected outcomes and impact specified in assignment plans.

Enhancing the total project effort through active involvement with community organizations, other national service programs, and other senior and volunteer programs.


Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Experience working with the older adult population
  • Energetic personality
